A Nepali man from Sydney’s western suburb has been charged over more than one sexual offences, New South Wales Police said on 17 March.
The alleged offences involved the Nepali national attacking a female colleague at a gelato store in December last year. According to the authorities, the store is located on Edinburgh Road in Marrickville.
Police alleged the 30 year old perpetrator followed the female colleague into the locker room of the gelato store after she finished her shift on 22 December 2014, “The man approached the 20-year-old woman before he propositioned her, he allegedly sexually and indecently assaulted her a number of times.”
The police began investigating the matter after the woman reported the incident on 31 December 2014.
The accused was arrested by officers from Marrickville Local Area Command on 16 March 2015 from a home on Queen Street in Auburn. “He was taken to Auburn Police Station, where he was charged with two counts of sexual intercourse without consent and three counts of indecent assault,” police said.
